The current Regional Spatial Strategy for the East Midlands was
published in March 2009 as the East Midlands Regional Plan. It provides
a broad development strategy for the East Midlands up to 2026.

This was based on a draft review published by the East Midlands
Regional Assembly (EMRA) for public consultation in September 2006. A
Public Examination took place in summer 2007 and the Panel Report was
published on 28 November 2007 is below.

The final version of the Plan was issued by the Secretary of State on 12
March 2009. The issued Plan (RSS), Schedule of Further Changes,
Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment can all be
downloaded and printed from the links below. Hard copies of
the Plan can be ordered through bookshops or from The Stationery Office
(TSO).
Partial Review
A minor partial review of the Regional Plan is currently being prepared by
the East Midlands Regional Assembly. More details are available on
the EMRA website.
