" I am delighted that the Cabinet has chosen to come to the East
Midlands today. The Prime Minister and Cabinet colleagues have visited
projects across the East Midlands this morning finding out innovative
ways in which important public services are being delivered and the
important investment that is being made by Government into the
region.
This is an historic day for Nottingham hosting the Cabinet, I am
chairing a lunch time question and answer session with the Prime
Minister where people from across the East Midlands got the opportunity
to quiz Cabinet Ministers on issues important to them.
I will then be explaining to the Cabinet later today the challenges
that we face in the East Midlands and what we are doing to raise skills
and bring new jobs and investment to the region"
