200-2006 Programme: East Midlands ERDF Update - N+2

I am pleased to report that, subject to final confirmation by the European Commission, the East Midlands has been successful in meeting its annual ‘N+2’ spending target and so avoided money being lost to the region through decommitment.  The European Secretariat at the Government Office submitted its final declaration to Brussels on the 21 December 2007.

The region’s final position was as follows –

Target -                                                          €310,910 (£211.706million)

Payments made (inc programme advance) - €311,430 (£212.085million)

I am very grateful to partnerships and projects for their excellent cooperation and efforts in maximising expenditure in the final quarter and submitting claims promptly when requested.
